What is L-Tyrosine?

L-Tyrosine is an amino acid that is particularly important in thyroid performance. It is required for the body to produce neurotransmitters such as L-dopa, epinephrine, and dopamine. Without adequate amounts of L-Tyrosine in the body, depression and other symptoms of an underactive thyroid become more prominent, such as reduced metabolism.

As mentioned before, L-Tyrosine is essential for optimal thyroid function. Your thyroid gland releases hormones that control metabolism, meaning it has a direct impact on body composition. In addition to that, the thyroid regulates breathing, heart rate, your nervous systems, muscular strength, body temperature, and even menstrual cycles for women. Given its effect on neurotransmitters, L-Tyrosine has also been shown to increase focus and elevate mood.

 

 

Possible Side Effects:

Taking L-Tyrosine at recommended levels has not been shown to cause serious side effects. Excessive L-Tyrosine may cause heartburn, feeling bloated, or nausea.

 

 

Recommended Dose:

When to Take:
